Indoor Activities:

Boise’s lively downtown core is just a 20-minute walk from the Boise State campus. The Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau and Southwest Idaho Travel Association are great resources for finding restaurants, night life, shopping and public events.

The Boise Museum Association provides locations and operating hours for all the museums in the Boise area.

Outdoor Activities:

Bogus Basin ski resort is just a 45-minute drive from town and offers wonderful opportunities for down-hill and cross-country skiing, snow-boarding, snow-shoeing, and snow-tubing.  Night-skiing on floodlit runs is available until 10:00 p.m.

Boise State University is located along the Boise River and the Greenbelt, a walking and bicycling path that runs for 25 miles though town (click here for Greenbelt map). The Foothills provide extensive hiking opportunities using the Ridge to Rivers trails system.

Check out the birds, fish, and other animals that call the Boise River home at the M-K Nature Center. It is a 20-minute walk from the Boise State campus and open year-round.
